Hand dyed merino/alpaca yarn

Available on three natural bases:
Creme – 80% white superfine merino/20% natural white alpaca
Light Grey – 90% white superfine merino/10% natural black alpaca
Mid Grey – 80% white superfine merino/20% natural black alpaca

4ply, 100g skeins/approx 400m. Needles 3-4 mm
8ply, 100g skeins/approx 200m. Needles 4-5 mm

Also available in 3 x 50gr of each base colour.

This is a very soft and cosy yarn. It's spun semi worsted –  the 4ply is a 2 strand construction, the 8ply is 3 strands. Beautiful for stranded knitting. Suitable for garments, hats, scarves and big, cosy shawls.

A bespoke yarn spun at one of the most sustainable mills in the world – GOR Woollen Mill is run off-grid. The alpaca fibre is from their own flock or farms nearby and the mulesing-free merino is from local farms which means this yarn is farm traceable. The yarn has a small footprint and since it's little processed you can expect to find a small amount of vegetable matter in the yarn. This yarn is not superwash treated.

Gentle handle wash in cold water. Due to this yarn being non superwash, please handle it gently so that it doesn't felt.

This yarn is hand-dyed, colour variations are intentional. After dyeing, the yarn has been thoroughly washed and rinsed.

It has been professionally photographed and the utmost has been done to reproduce the colour accurately, but please keep in mind that different screens vary.
